October 30th, 2005 @ 1:44 am by Joe

Sure, I’m lame, I like Saved by the Bell — but ya’ know what?

Crash and burn motherfucker. Enjoy. (for those of you that don’t know — I’m Freehaiti)

The Market

October 11th, 2005 @ 8:23 pm by Tim

Long time, no see. I’ve got a couple of things that I’ve been meaning to post, but you know how it goes. Anyway, Mike was bugging me to put some pictures up, so here’s one from China. This is from a street market.

the market

Points of interest:

  • crate full of bunny rabbits
  • crate full of “meal beetles” or whatever you call the beetles that meal worms turn into
  • crate full of multicolored bugs
  • most importantly, crate full of dyed baby chickens

I’m not sure what is appealing about a green chick, but there it is. I didn’t ask for the price of any of these, but I’m sure it was dirt cheap.

Storyboards

October 11th, 2005 @ 6:10 am by Mike

This is storyboard number 44. It looks grainy because it was drawn in very light pencil and Tim had to bump the levels way up to get it to show.

Ants Redux, Rodent Bot Fly

October 10th, 2005 @ 3:06 pm by dick

First off, I don’t think anyone noted the 1-year anniversary for Protozoic. I guess that’s what the Proto-Con is about, but I don’t even know exactly when this site was put up so I can’t tell.

Due to some traveling and such I let the ant news go. Here are the results.

Proto-Con

October 5th, 2005 @ 10:07 pm by Mike

I am proud to announce that we will be holding the first ever annual Protozoic Convention, Proto-Con, from Friday October 21st to Sunday the 23rd. Though the kinks in the event itinerary still have to be ironed out, I can say that there will be panel discussions, guest speakers, socials, cosplay and a session of TSR’s Star Frontiers (with modified rules). There is even a rumor that all attendees will get “gift bags” full of freebies.

If you are casual reader of the Protozoic website and are not on one of our many mailing lists, feel free to mail me or anyone here for more information about attending.

In the meantime, everybody else be sure to stay tuned for more information on the big weekend.

Draconic Measures

October 5th, 2005 @ 12:26 am by Peter

Last night was our weekly D&D game again. Only this week it was possibly one of the most exciting sessions I’ve ever had for a character… ever. I know it’s not “real life” but I feel like bragging about my virtual/storytelling experience anyway. And since I’ve been taking a sabatical from RPG.net forum postings you guys get to be bored with the tale of how it went in that forum’s stead.
