I’ve got a little community at my site www.infantryzone.net, a forum that is like Seinfeld: really about nothing in particular except the people who are there. A few of us are actually from Salisbury and so we, along with my girlfriend, came together to remix a song our friend Mahanaxar, sitting in the picture, wrote over a year ago. Download it here.

We rotated the Chia. Now his growth is going the other way.

We forgot to rotate the Chia pet. His growth is leaning towards the window.

It seems that the Chia pet has a bald spot. I have little faith in this spot growing. Why did this happen? For no fucking reason, just like the huge piles of leaves in the street.

Welcome to my world.

The Chia sprouts are growing… just like the enormous piles of leaves in front of our house.

It is

Our landlord came by the house this week. She laughed when she saw the Chia Garlfield box. I bet she wouldn’t be laughing now if she saw the first Chia growth.

The seeds have now soaked overnight, as have the Chia pets. We applied the seeds today.

Prior to moving recently, I uncovered an original Chia pet at my parent’s house and brought it with my personage to Lawrenceville. After a rather intensive and fruitless search for Chia seeds for purchase (besides through the internet), I learned from CVS pharmacy that Chias are seasonal products. Seeds accordingly are only made availible in stores as the winter holidays draw near. Sure enough, a week or so before Halloween, CVS unveiled it’s line of Chias; at which time I purchased a Garfield Chia to get both the Garfield pot and some seeds.

The following photo-diary represts my first attempt at growing Chia. I will be updating this diary so you can see the drama unfold daily.
